Favorite Quotes of the last few weeks:

My Best Friend Emily, "Megan, it seems like Italy comes up way more now than it did a year ago."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Monica, "Where are you living now Megan?"

Megan, "I am still staying at Sarah's."

Monica and Kristina, "Oh."

Megan, "Yah..... but I pay rent.  It is not like I am freeloading."

pause.

Kristina, ".... I don't pay rent."

Megan, "Yah but It is a little different when you have worked out an arrangement with someone and have been invited to stay as opposed to me where I asked if I could stay for a few days and 2 months later I am still there."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kristina, "Oh man I slurred the word slur.  How did I do that?"

Megan, "Huh...  I wonder if they do that on purpose."

Kristina and Sarah, "Who is they?"

Megan, "You know they."

Kristina and Sarah, "No?!  Who is they."

Megan, "The people who wrote the English language."

Follow up comments: 1. Lisp is another example.  2. My friend Mari knew exactly what I was talking about.  3. I am aware that there were not 3 people in a room who decided to write a language thus we have English.

Update with my Life:

I will be moving out of the ever lovely apartment of Sarah Lorimer.  Sadly, because in my 2 months of imposing my life on her we have grown quite attached.  Yet, it is time.  I will be moving to an apartment near Montrose and Kimball.  It is quite beautiful.  I will be living with Jess and Wendy.  They are part of the Prayer Furnace as well.  It will be very exciting.  An added plus is that the apartment location is right between the Furnace and North Park.  I am excited also because I am back the Furnace, since returning from Italy and it will be really good to live in community again.

Also the coffeeshop that I am employed at is actually going to OPEN!  The Open Hearth Cafe on Kimball and Foster will be open this Wednesday!!!  So please everyone come visit me.  I will be working the morning shifts.  Come before eleven and we can chat!  For you North Parkers, it is located in the former Alabina Cafe.  There is a fire place!  Come and drink hot chocolate and study or just relax and really order what ever drink you want.

I believe that is all of my life.  North Park, the Furnace, Open Hearth, new Apartment... hmmm seems to be so.

Oh one more thing, I watched the opening of the Winter Olympics last night.  It made me miss Italy so much!  I also was very regretful that I didn't go to the Alp when I was there.

I had an adult day yesterday.

I woke up and drove my roommate to the mechanic.

After dropping off her car, we went grocery shopping.

Then I went and worked for a while.   I need to be home at 5:00, however because we were having a friend over for dinner.

At about 3:00, I got a call that stated I needed to get creamer and carrots on the way home.

I don't really like going to Jewel more than once a week let alone twice a day.

But we needed it for the dinner engagement. So I stopped.

We had a lovely dinner.  Sad though, because the apartment that was spotless is crazy messy still this afternoon with piles of dishes.

Today, however was an excellent day.  I did nothing, expect church this morning.  It was really quite an Italy Sunday.

I apologize I really do post the most mindless, boring things.  Oh well....  I guess I am never very inspired when I am wasting time on the internet.  alas there was my adult day.

Man Johnny Cash's version of Hurt and the video that is intense.  I just watched it again the yesterday.  The first time since it was released.  it is interesting now having seen Walk the Line.  And that line "my empire of dirt." and it goes right along with Michelango and donatello and botticelli and titan and the perspective life and death bring... huh it is crazy?!

Today I went through my Italy pictures.

...it caused me to remember.

God calls us to remember.

I understand in a little way why.  In the midst of being back in the US, I get all caught up in things.

But today I remembered and in doing that I was able to recall that God is vast!

I learned so much in Italy.

One of those things is how big Jesus is and how I can trust Him.  It sounds trite, for that I am sorry.  However it is so true and being in Italy and out of my comfort zone, I was able to see through a lot of the junk and see God.  He had my life in Italy and He has my life here.  I can rest in that.

I just pray that I continue to remember.

Best advice yet:

Let it go.

I like that and I am feeling it, but of course it hard.  Therefore, I need your prayers!  Thanks friends!
